Excerpt
from "HOVERING SPHERE"
The room is large and the figures
dance
Everything seems unnaturally large, out of proportion
I try to move my arms and I get this floating feeling in my body
but nothing moves
My brain is beating, thumping, thumping
I listen to it, trying to find my heart inside
Are the figures talking to me? I am far away
They are too many arms in my face
I try to count, count the figures, it seems a normal thing,
a thing that would bring me back to reality.
They keep spiraling out of my grasp one reverts to a mirror image
and back again
One figure, two figure three and four five and six and seven or
I am aware that I am cold.
It is not in my body. I am not really sure where my body is, whether
I am in fact inside it or somewhere beyond it. Movement is slow
like moving through a waterfall I feel like I will slip and fall
into my body
it frightens me
I will be ready in a moment I will be ready
